Amazon Pharmacy fills the main GLP-1 weight-loss medicines with a prescription, and the starting cash prices it publishes are the same as the manufacturers' own self-pay prices. The Wegovy pill and Foundayo start at $149 a month. The injectables start at $199. The Zepbound KwikPen starts at $299 for the 2.5 mg dose. Patients with commercial coverage can pay as little as $25, and eligible Medicare patients pay $50 under a temporary federal programme. Amazon competes on delivery and paperwork. On the figures it publishes, it does not compete on price.
This page reads Amazon's own announcements on 27 October 2026 and sets each figure beside the maker's price. It does not rank pharmacies. The full price table for every GLP-1 medicine, by dose and route, is on our GLP-1 cost page.

Maker prices as recorded on our cost page (Lilly's Zepbound page re-read 26 October 2026) and in Novo Nordisk's launch release. Amazon sources: One Medical GLP-1 page; same-day delivery release, February 2026.
Every starting price Amazon publishes equals the corresponding maker price. Two caveats follow from that. First, "starting at" is the lowest dose; Amazon's announcements do not list the higher doses, which its checkout shows only for a specific prescription, and which we did not read. Second, the Zepbound $449 maker price is an offer tied to Lilly's 45-day refill rule, with a higher regular price if a refill is late; whether the same condition carries through to Amazon's price is not stated in Amazon's release. Lilly's terms are set out on our LillyDirect page.
How Amazon fits the makers' own routes
Lilly names Amazon Pharmacy as one of four dispensing partners for LillyDirect, its direct-to-patient service, alongside Gifthealth, FuzeHealth and Walmart (our LillyDirect record, Lilly's page read 30 September 2026). Amazon's March release in turn lists LillyDirect among the companies it works with, together with WeightWatchers, UpScriptHealth and Noom. That is the likeliest reason the Zepbound starter price is identical. Neither release spells out the arrangement, so we report the matching price, not a mechanism.
Novo Nordisk's launch release for the Wegovy pill (5 January 2026) lists the pharmacies and services it was available through at launch — CVS, Costco, Ro, LifeMD, WeightWatchers, NovoCare Pharmacy and GoodRx among them. Amazon is not named in that list. Amazon's own February release says it offers the pill. Novo's pharmacy route is on our NovoCare Pharmacy page.
Insurance, coupons and Medicare
Commercial insurance. Amazon says its pharmacy "accepts most insurance plans" and applies eligible manufacturer-sponsored coupons automatically at checkout. It puts customer savings from that coupon programme at $150 million in 2025, with insulin and GLP-1 medicines the largest categories, and at "over $400 million" to date on its later One Medical page. The $25 figure is the makers' savings-card price, which Novo Nordisk caps at $100 of savings a month and which excludes government beneficiaries. Whether a plan covers a weight-loss drug at all is the plan's decision; our page on GLP-1 insurance coverage sets out how that works.
Medicare. Amazon's Medicare article says eligible Part D members "who meet specific clinical criteria" can get Wegovy (pen and pill), Zepbound KwikPen and Foundayo for $50 a month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, "a short-term federal initiative running through December 31, 2027." It says Amazon "automates eligibility verification, prior authorization, and billing" and that patients add their Bridge plan and Medicare ID. Who qualifies under the Bridge is set by CMS, not Amazon; the criteria are on our page on whether Medicare covers GLP-1 drugs.
Delivery and pickup
According to Amazon's own pages:
- free delivery on the first order of each new medication (March 2026 release); Prime members get free two-day delivery;
- same-day delivery in more than 3,100 US cities and towns, with a stated target of nearly 4,500 by the end of 2026, no Prime membership needed;
- pickup at Amazon Pharmacy kiosks in some One Medical offices, which Amazon says also dispense the Wegovy and Foundayo pills;
- 24/7 access to pharmacists.
Injectable GLP-1 pens need to be kept cold, and how long each may stay out of the fridge is set in its label; our pen storage page quotes each one.
The prescription comes first
Amazon Pharmacy fills prescriptions; it does not issue them. Amazon's own clinic service, One Medical, offers weight-management care in 48 states and Washington, D.C., either insurance-covered with primary care or as cash-pay virtual care at $39 for messaging or $59 for a video visit (One Medical GLP-1 page). Its clinicians can send the prescription to any pharmacy. The other ways to get a prescription, and what each costs, are on how to get a GLP-1 prescription. Costco's pharmacy price, a useful comparison for in-store pickup, is on Costco GLP-1 prices.
What this page could not confirm
- Higher-dose cash prices at Amazon. Not published in the announcements; shown only at checkout.
- Dates of two Amazon pages. The Medicare article and the One Medical GLP-1 page carry no publication date; both were read on 27 October 2026 and describe the Medicare Bridge as live.
- Whether prices change after this date. All the makers have changed their self-pay prices at least once in 2026; the figures here are dated for that reason.
Which medicine, dose and pharmacy suits a person is for them and their prescriber to decide.
